The challanges in this project where caused out of several reasons.

One of the main reasons where the decentrelised organisational structure of the group, followed by a decentrally handled technical environment.

The IT-Department of the group was developing own technical solutions for different purposes e.g. Air&Sea, Rail&Road and Contract Logistics.

At Order-to-Cash, the invoicing and related postings where handled separately. Out of this reality the challange was to ensure revenue recognition and design a new technical and processual environment to the group, which enables:

- Transparency in data

- Threshold based tracking of transactions

- Processing mass of data automatically

At Pruchase-to-Pay, the 3-Way-Match was required to implement into the processing to enable the Treasury to

- Get a clean cashflow statement

- Approval processing
